If you're interested in knowing the whole meaning of the symbolism used throughout this movie I seriously recommend you this video, not everything is entirely related to the movie, but the way it is explained is probably the most accurate interpretation of the meaning behind it. GRIEF was extremely important through the whole film imo. Dani didn't have a home in her relationship which is eventually why we sympathised with her when the cult joined her in that explosive scene. Midsommar is one of the most disturbing movies I've seen. Im curious if the soundtrack /sound design uses certain tones and frequency to induce stress/nausea it affected me so much. From the beginning where the strings harmonise with the police/fire sirens through to the orgasms and screams later. Incredible 🌼🐻🌿🔥🌺. I was going to watch this movie because of all of the good reviews. I watched the trailer first and it just looked boring and unoriginal. Looks like my instincts were correct. If I want to watch a horror about vacationing in Sweden, Ill just watch The Ritual again.
