Midsommar movie review. Midsommar showtimes. Midsommar analysis. Great analysis my friend, although I think there a greater aspect missed. This movie is heavily filled with occultism and it can be said it's actually more of an initiation ritual than a film. Only very little is actually fiction. If you're interested in knowing the whole meaning of the symbolism used throughout this movie I seriously recommend you this video, not everything is entirely related to the movie, but the way it is explained is probably the most accurate interpretation of the meaning behind it. I guess that's what makes it a horror movie. 8:27 I cried 🤣 this scene takes so F*ing long to play out that Id thought theyd just die of old age... Definitely my thoughts in the movie theater. I loved every moment of this movie. The colors, the uneasy feelings, the horror, and Florence Pugh did an incredible job. Cant wait to see what Aster does next.
GRIEF was extremely important through the whole film imo. Dani didn't have a home in her relationship which is eventually why we sympathised with her when the cult joined her in that explosive scene. Watching this movie felt like literally being in a bad acid trip

Midsommar is one of the most disturbing movies I've seen. Im curious if the soundtrack /sound design uses certain tones and frequency to induce stress/nausea it affected me so much. From the beginning where the strings harmonise with the police/fire sirens through to the orgasms and screams later. Incredible 🌼🐻🌿🔥🌺. I was going to watch this movie because of all of the good reviews. I watched the trailer first and it just looked boring and unoriginal. Looks like my instincts were correct. If I want to watch a horror about vacationing in Sweden, Ill just watch The Ritual again.
